"Sticky" products aren't an accident — they're designed around habits, feedback loops, and a reason to come back tomorrow. Whether you're building fitness, wellness, or any consumer mobile product, retention beats vanity downloads.

1. Identify the Core Habit Loop

Every sticky app has a cue, a routine, and a reward. Map out what triggers a session, what the user does, and what they get out of it before you add more features.

2. Reward Consistency, Not Just Milestones

Streaks and daily check-ins often matter more to retention than big one-off achievements. Design for the next open, not only the first workout.

3. Iterate With Real Usage Data

Watch where users drop off, and treat every version of the app as a hypothesis to test — not a finished product. Pair product analytics with qualitative feedback from early cohorts.
